Pre-School Suite

Our Pre-School Suite is a vibrant, inspiring environment where confident, curious learners are encouraged to explore, create, and follow their own ideas. Rooted in the Reggio Emilia approach, we see children as capable, creative individuals, and learning is guided through hands-on experiences, meaningful projects, and rich conversations that value every child’s voice.

Outdoor Learning & Old-School Childhood

Children spend plenty of time outdoors, connecting with nature and exploring the world around them. Climbing, digging, building, observing wildlife, and enjoying all-weather play help children develop resilience, confidence, and physical skills. We celebrate an old-school childhood, where imagination, storytelling, and real-life experiences lay the foundations for curiosity and lifelong learning.

Our Key Person Approach

Every child is supported by a dedicated Key Person, forming a close, trusting relationship that provides consistency, understanding, and care. Children spend time with their Key Person and their Key Family during core parts of the day, including structured activities and mealtimes. This approach builds a strong sense of belonging, supports individual development, and encourages meaningful connections with peers, giving children the confidence to explore and grow.

Four Free-Flow Rooms

Our Pre-School Suite features four free-flowing rooms, each designed to inspire curiosity and learning through real-life, open-ended resources:

• Dedicated Art Space: A vibrant area for experimenting with colours, textures, and materials, encouraging creativity, fine motor development, and self-expression through open-ended art experiences.

• Light & Shadow Room with Floor Play: A magical space to explore light, shadows, and reflections, combined with floor-based activities that encourage observation, imagination, and problem-solving.

• Construction Room: A dynamic environment for building, stacking, and creating, supporting early engineering skills, collaboration, and imaginative thinking.

• Messy Play & Role Play Room: A hands-on space for sensory experiences and imaginative play, where children can explore textures, experiment with materials, and engage in storytelling and pretend scenarios.

Each room is carefully designed to embed the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) outcomes, ensuring all areas of development are supported. Learning is personalised through play, allowing children to follow their own interests and pace while building confidence, independence, and critical thinking.
